Sebastien Morin is an exciting young winemaker based in the southern Beaujolais town of Saint-Étienne-des-Oullières. His journey to becoming a winemaker began in the early 2000s after a chance encounter with Jura legend Jean-Marc Brignot. A friendship blossomed between the two and Seb spent much of the next decade juggling his desk job in Paris with travelling to Jura to observe and assist in the Brignot cellar. Today he has 1.5 hectares of Gamay vines which he looks after without herbicides or pesticides.

Arcane is Gamay from a plot of 70 year old vines grown in granite soil. The result is a light and ethereal example of Beaujolais with pure red cherry and cranberry fruit, plenty of granite minerality and touches of savoury, barnyard funk.
