Christophe Lindenlaub Elefanta Citron
Christophe Lindenlaub comes from a long line of winemakers in Alsace with the family growing grapes here since the 18th century. The vineyards have been worked organically since 2009 and the wines made fully naturally since 2014. All grapes are handpicked, fermented with indigenous yeasts and bottled without any additions or filtration. Though all unique, Christophe's wines invariably have great energy and tension with nervy acidity and vibrant fruit.
Elefanta Citron is made from Riesling macerated on skins for three weeks. This is a wonderfully complex orange wine with poached quince, spice and nut aromas. It's long and fine on the palate with lemon acidity and great texture.
