Domaine Alain Gras Saint-Romain Blanc
Country: Cote de Beaune, France
Very smart white Burgundy and listed in 23 of France’s Michelin 3-stared restaurants (there are currently 30 in total). Incredible value for such a sophisticated wine. From vines averaging 40 years in age, élevage is in 80% stainless steel and 20% new oak and bottled after 11 months.
Notes of white chocolate and praline infusing the citrus fruit, hints of orange blossom. The palate is crisp and fresh, with a slightly waxy texture with the weight you'd expect from a Chassagne.
