Originally established in 1900 by the current custodians' grandfather, Domaine Paul Pillot is today run by brother and sister Thierry and Chrystelle Pillot who have gained a reputation as one of the most exciting new wave of vignerons in Burgundy. Viticulture is organic and in the cellar the siblings work with as little intervention as possible to create refined, terroir driven wines with tremendous finesse.

From the 2013 vintage, this is a gorgeous older Chassagne red from the 1er cru of Clos Saint-Jean. Fragrant red fruit aromas of raspberries and cranberries with complex spice and mushroomy notes coming through on the long, surprising fresh palate.
