Maison Skyaasen is a micro-negociant in Burgundy started by a Norwegian (Joakim) and San Franciscan (Olivia) who met at university in Vermont before moving to Burgundy in 2017. Made in miniscule quantities, these are refined, complex Burgundies that belie the young age of the estate.

Les Bas Liards is Pinot Noir from a parcel of 40 year old vines planted in clay and limestone. The grapes are 100% whole bunch fermented for two weeks, part in a wooden fermenter and part in steel tank,  before pressing off to age in old barrels for 12 months on the lees. Unfined, unfiltered and without added sulphur.
