Though originally from Burgundy, Marthe Henry Boillot spent most of her life working as a journalist in Paris before returning home in 2013. After studying winemaking at Le Viti in Beaune and gaining practical experience at Domaine Rougeot in Meursault, Marthe set up on her own in 2017, taking over the small cellar in Meursault of her esteemed winemaking grandfather Pierre Boillot.

The Santenay Blanc is Chardonnay from the Bievaux parcel, direct-pressed and fed into barrels of old 228l Burgundy barrels oak where alcoholic fermentation takes place. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally, after which the wine sees an 18-month period of ageing on fine lees. An intense, weighty wine with complex aromas of nougat, poached pears, sandalwood and baking spices.
