Domaine du Météore is a unique Faugères estate located atop a 200 metre wide crater that was created when a meteorite crashed into the area 10,000 years ago. The low-yielding vines grow in rocky schist soils that force the roots to delve deep in search of nutrients and imbue the wines with pronounced minerality. Winemaking is low intervention with the domaine certified organic and working towards biodynamic certification.

Lyrides Rouge is a rich blend of Syrah and 20% Mourvèdre with a toasted touch, aged in Burgundy oak barrels for 12 months. Notes of cocoa powder, ripe black fruit, sweet pepper and mocha. Full and complex with a satisfyingly long and fresh finish.
