Touted as a rising star by legendary wine writer and importer Kermit Lynch, Eric Chevalier is based in Saint-Philbert de Grandlieu, southwest of Nantes where he produces high-quality organic, terroir-driven wines. Eric's wine-making approach is defined by minimal intervention; he uses natural, indigenous yeasts and ages his wines on the lees for several months to develop texture and complexity.

Cardinal is Eric's Cabernet Franc brimming with bright red fruits (redcurrant, sour cherry, raspberry) intertwined with classic Cabernet Franc notes of crushed violets, green peppercorn, tobacco leaf, and a subtle graphite/pencil-shaving earthiness.
