Josko Gravner is a winemaker of mythic proportions making skin contact wine of unparalleled power and complexity in Venezia Giulia, near Italy's border with Slovenia. Viticulture is organic and the wines undergo long and slow macerations and ageing in a combination of clay amphora and large barrels.

This is his Ribolla from the 2015 vintage with a beguiling array of aromas from apricot and spiced pear, through to rosemary, sage and beeswax. Incredible intensity on the palate with sublime texture and drive.
