Born and bred in Marsannay, but not from a winemaking family, Sylvain had to start from scratch when he wanted a domaine of his own. He went to wine school in Beaune at the age of just 14 and then to wine university in Bordeaux in order to become a winemaker.  Viticulture is organic with some biodynamic preparations.

This is 100% Pinot Noir from naturally farmed vines that sees fermentation with the grapes’ native yeasts in fiberglass, 3 weeks skin contact and a long elevage in old barriques. Juicy, multi-layered and tersely elegant: arctic berries with autumn forest floor, black spices, bramble and dark plums.
