Tenuta Mattei is a bucolic organic estate set amongst the Esino hills of Marche, a short drive inland from Italy's Adriatic coast. Here in alluvial soils rich in marine soils they grow the 6 varieties key to Marche winemaking: Verdicchio, Passerina and Pecorino (for whites) and Lacrima, Montepulciano and Sangiovese (for reds). 

This is Mattei's crisp, textured Verdicchio with preserved lemon, green apple and almond aromas with touches of baking spices on the linear, lightly saline palate.
