The Wittmann;s and their forebears have been winegrowers in Westhofen ever since the 17th century. Gentle rolling hills rise in the countryside around Westhofen, but underneath each one are hidden millions of years of sedimentation and pressure, which have developed the widest variety of geologic formations, and one can taste this in the wines. The estate has been certified organic since 1990 and biodynamic since 2004.

This is the (dry) trocken Riesling. Pure and taut with vivid chalky minerality and searing green apple and lime aromas that broadens out on the palate to reveal some riper stone fruits.
