Angelo, Matteo and Luca Sega grow alpine Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) high up on the terraced granite and slate slopes of Valtellina. At these perilous heights everything is done painstakingly by hand and Barbacàn follow this up with a hands off approach in the cellar, fermenting with indigenous yeasts and bottling without filtration or sulphur.

The Jazpémi is Nebbiolo from very old vines grown in a vineyard of the same name, macerated for 90days before aging for 12 months in old oak. It's elegant and complex with vibrant notes of raspberry, cherry, rosebuds, and star anise supported by warm tannins and lively acidity.
