Catherine and Dominique Derain are true legends in Burgundy, with winemaking careers 40 years long and counting. Starting in the 1970s as a cooper (barrel maker) Dominique worked in famous cellars in Puligny Montrachet, Alsace and Beaujolais before settling in Saint-Aubin where along with wife Catherine he has produced thrilling biodynamic wines since the 1990s.

Le Ban is Pinot Noir grown on an east facing slope and vinified entirely without sulphur. A lovely wine with an appealing cherry and strawberry fruit nose, core acidity, great freshness, underlying spiciness and perfect balance.
