Aurélien, Thierry and Christian Laherte make Champagne just to the south of Epernay, in an area that falls between the Côte des Blancs and Vallée de la Marne. In total they have 10 hectares of vines made up of 75(!) individual parcels.

Blanc de blancs from mid-slope vineyards in Chavot and Epernay where the vines average 35yo. 50% of 2020 still wine (aged in a mix of foudres and barrels with no malos) is blended with 50% barrel-aged reserve wines – it helps give an extra richness and flesh to the wine with a good weight of fruit on the palate. There is a nice play between a marrowy, protein quality, a structure that comes from the clayey and chalky soils, and good tension.
