Château Briatte Sauternes (375ml)
Grapes: Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Muscadelle.
Château Briatte is situated in the heart of the Sauternes appellation, just west of Preignac. Michel Roudes is the third generation to manage the property which has eighteen hectares in all: 90% Semillon, 5% Sauvignon Blanc and Gris and 5% Muscadelle.
Yields are typically as low as 8hl/ha and over 50% of the production was lost to frost in 2017. This is their flagship Sauternes made from very low yields (8hl/ha) and aged in old oak barrels. Rich and intense with pronounced botrytis character, peaches, apricots and marmalade.
