Château Ste Anne is a historical domaine in many ways: in addition to pioneering the creation of the Bandol AC, the five succeeding generations of Dutheil de La Rochère resisted the siren call of post-war chemically dependent agriculture, and proudly promoted organic farming from the 1970s working closely with like-minded vignerons including Marcel Lapierre, Pierre Overnoy and Thierry Puzelat.
This is the flagship Bandol Rouge made from 50+ year old bush vines with 80% of the grapes destemmed and 20% of whole bunches going at the bottom of the cuve. On the nose and palate, you find spiced black fruits, liquorice, a hint of game, leather and a lightly saline note.
