Christoph Lindenlaub A Pas de Velours
Grapes: Pinot Noir
Christophe Lindenlaub comes from a long line of winemakers in Alsace with the family growing grapes here since the 18th century. The vineyards have been worked organically since 2009 and the wines made fully naturally since 2014. All grapes are handpicked, fermented with indigenous yeasts and bottled without any additions or filtration. Though all unique, Christophe's wines invariably have great energy and tension with nervy acidity and vibrant fruit.
A Pas de Velours is Pinot noir grapes macerated for 12 days in whole bunches. Light and fresh, with a perfect balance of autumnal berries and an earthiness that can only ever be associated with Pinot from Alsace.
