Christoph Lindenlaub En Liberté
Grapes: Pinot Gris
Christophe Lindenlaub comes from a long line of winemakers in Alsace with the family growing grapes here since the 18th century. The vineyards have been worked organically since 2009 and the wines made fully naturally since 2014. All grapes are handpicked, fermented with indigenous yeasts and bottled without any additions or filtration.
En Liberté is Pinot Gris from 30 to 40 year old vines planted on clay and limestone soils. Christophe chose not to disgorge the wine after fermentation in bottle, so the wine is a wonderful cloudy peach colour. Generous stone fruit follows through on the palate with a nice rolling bubble. Perfect Summer drinking.
