Hugo and Joana Campos of Ciclo Vinho have just 1.5 hectares of vines in Estremoz comprising no less than 10 different indigenous Portuguese grape varieties. With these they work with minimal intervention and by hand to craft fragrant, pure and vivacious natural wines in tiny quantities of just 600-2,000 bottles per cuvée.

Primeiro Maceração is a blend of Arinto, Fernão Pires, Alicante and Tamarez from the same vineyard as the Palhete, planted in 1975 in granite soils at high altitude. The grapes were hand-picked and macerated on skins for 5 days without temperature control. A structured and intense orange wine with an explosion of tropical and stone fruit aromas - lychee, kiwi, apricot - leading to a bright, lightly tannic palate.
