Bencze Birtok Pinot Noir
Country: Hungary
Region: Badacsony
Grapes: Pinot Noir
Vintage: 2019
Istvan Bencze has a small patchwork of vines on the side of Szent György mountain in Badacsony, Hungary. The soil is made up mainly from volcanic basalt with a mix of clay, loess and sand. He picks early to preserve acidity and works with minimal intervention in the winery.
His Pinot Noir is a fresh, fruit driven wine with vibrant herbaceous notes, playful, exciting and full of subtlety. Without a doubt the best value for money Pinot Noir from the pioneer of natural winemaking in Hungary.
