David Duband Hautes Cotes de Nuits Louis Auguste
Grapes: Pinot Noir
David Duband makes complex, perfumed Pinot Noir from vines he tends organically across the Burgundy appellation. All wines are made using whole bunches and elevage is for 14-16 months in oak, around 30% new.
Named after David's son, Louis Auguste is made from 50 year old vines grown in limestone and marl in the Hautes Cotes de Nuits. It's vibrant and lifted with cherry blossom, wild strawberry and white pepper aromas leading to a fresh and mineral palate with graphite, wet earth and a good concentration of red fruit.
