Davide Xodo Nina
Grapes: Garganega, Pinot Bianco
Davide Xodo studied enological sciences in Toulouse, returning to his native Vicenza after winemaking stints in Bierzo and Tuscany. His project is to valorise the Colli Berici, an area that used to be a an important area for wine production in Italy.
Named after Davide’s daughter, Nina is a 50/50 blend of Garganega and Pinot Bianco from limestone soils with four and six days on skins respectively. A vital and fruity wine with orange zest, peach and pineapple backed up with a touch of balsamic herbs on the nose. Extremely balanced on the palate, it expresses the limestone soil in its long, salty finish.
