Peter Gierszewski of Domaine de Thalie has 4.5 hectares of vines around the village of Cluny in the Macon where he grows the usual Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Aligoté, and less usual Syrah and Gamay. Peter works organically in the vineyard and vinifies naturally in the cellar with no additions save for a little sulphur at bottling when necessary.

Megalithe is from 60 year old south facing Gamay vines grown in marne soils, fermented in whole bunches then aged in 500l barrels for 10 months. Exhilarating cranberry, red cherry and raspberry fruit with earthy undertones and a touch of salinity on the mouth-watering finish.
