Domaine Overnoy Côtes Du Jura Pinot Noir
Country: France
Region: Jura
Grapes: Pinot Noir
Vintage: 2019
The first vines of Domaine Overnoy were planted in 1982 and the estate - organic since 2014 - is now run by Guillaume Overnoy, nephew of the legendary Pierre Overnoy. The vineyards are planted with the five main Jura grapes which are vinified in a stunning ancient underground cellar. Guillaume's inspiration naturally comes from his uncle who he consults with on a regular basis.
Pinot Noir from vines planted in marl and clay in the village of Cesancey. As per all reds at the domaine, grapes are manually destemmed in the vineyard with a traditional 'crible' – a perforated wooden tray on which the bunches are rubbed. Aged for 12 months in old Burgundy barrels, it's juicy, ripe and fragrant with aromas of raspberries, morello cherries and wild roses.
