Gazzetta Bianco Susanna
Grapes: Procanico, Trebbiano
Gazzetta is the wine making project of Trish Nelson, an Australian who after spending several years working at Cantina Giardino and Le Coste bought a small cottage among vines in the hills of northern Lazio. In all she has two hectares of old vineyards planted with Procanico and Ansonica, Malvasia and Moscato.
A blend of Procanico and Trebbiano from old vines in Bolsena that spent ten days on the skins before nine months in vats. These were the first grapes Trish harvested last year and the result is a delicate, light, zesty wine that weighs in at just eleven degrees of alcohol, making for a wonderful aperitif.
