The phrase 'natural wine legend' is sometimes overused, but the moniker certainly applies to Jean-Pierre Robinot. Having founded the famous Paris wine bar L’Ange Vin and France’s premier Natural Wine journal Le Rouge et le Blanc, he now makes incredible wine in the Loire across two appellations, Jasnières and the Coteaux-du-Loir. Farming is biodynamic, vinification is slow and patient but always worth the wait.

Chenin Blanc from a parcel of old vines planted over schist farmed by a friend in Jasnières. Pressed directly, after fifteen months resting in barrels the result is a golden wine that speaks of the warmth of the vintage, with vibrant notes of stone fruits, minerals and spice. Full of raw energy, this should evolve beautifully in the cellar for years to come.
