Fabien Duperray (AKA Jules Desjourneys) is a fine wine agent in Burgundy, representing Domaine Romanee Conte among others. In 2007 he purchased old Gamay vineyards in Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent (some over 140 years), and Chardonnay parcels in a range of Côte Macconais appellations in 2014. Farming is biodynamic, with extremely low yields and winemaking that focuses on crafting balanced, long-lived wines to rival the greats.

This is Fabien's Macon-Verze from 50 year old Chardonnay vines grown in clay and limestone. An intense, opulent and commanding wine with spiced pear, peach and citrus on the nose leading to a complex and powerful palate with more pear and peach, fine grapefruit acidity and a stony mineral edge.
