La Perdida Proscrito
Grapes: Palomino, Garnacha
Nacho Gonzales of La Perdida is a biologist by trade, starting down the road of natural winemaking when his grandmother bequeathed him a single gnarly old vineyard, O Trancado. He now works six previously abandoned old plots which he has nurtured back to health, vinifying the grapes with minimal intervention in his tiny cellar in the town of Larouco.
Proscrito is a field blend of 95% (white) Palomino and 5% (red) Garnacha fermented naturally in a mixture of chestnut and French oak barrels. Silky and vibrant with heady aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and orange blossom with a mouth-watering salinity.
