Trebbiolo is a blend of Barbera and the lesser-known Bonarda, replanted in Piacenza when Elena Pantaeoni took over in the 90s. The wine has a long maceration, but is raised entirely in steel to preserve verve and freshness. Bursting with spicy red fruits and herbs, it has a wild, earthy quality, with a racy line of acidity and rustic tannins.
