Le Coste Bianchetto
Grapes: Malvasia, Moscato
Clementine Bouveron and Gianmarco Antonuzzi make wine in the volcanic, iron rich soils of northern Lazio. They have around 14 hectares of land with vineyards interspersed with olive groves and chestnut trees. All work in the vineyards is done by hand and the wines are made with minimal intervention in the winery.
Bianchetto is made from a young vineyard planted over tufo just across the Tuscan border in Pitigliano and is a blend of Procanico, Malvasia, Moscato and other local varieties. It spent two weeks on skins, with both fermentation and six months of élevage taking place in cuve. It's delicate and fragrant with orange zest and herbs aromas and a refreshing bitterness to the tannins.
