Marie & Vincent Tricot Escargot
Vincent and Marie had worked in Beaujolais in the 1990s and were heavily influenced by the the 'Gang of Four' natural wine pioneers including Jules Chauvet, Marcel Lapierre. In a quest for the terroir and vines with which to work in this same spirit, they moved to the Auvergne in 2002. They started off with 4.5 hectares and over the years have planted another 5 or so. They have plots of Gamay d’Auvergne, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Muscat.
Escargot is the Tricot's lively and very mineral Chardonnay with aromas of green apple, citrus blossom, pear and chamomile all brought together with a touch of sea spray salinity.
