Mas Coutelou was one of the first estates to be receive organic certification in France back in 1987 and has since gone on to become one of the foremost natural wine producers in the Languedoc. Just over half of the the land is planted with vines, with the rest given over to olive, almond and fig trees.
Flambadou is Carignan that is only made in warmer vintages when the grapes are 'flambéed' in the Mediterranean sun. The result is a rich and ripe fruited wine with herbal nuances of the garrigue, black olives and lavender.
