Pilton Road Trip Still Cider
Apples: Tremlett's Bitter, Brown's
Somerset based Pilton make whole juice sparkling cider using the old English method of keeving, an artisan method for making naturally sweetened cider. The apples are collected from traditional cider orchards in and around the parish of Pilton and ferment slowly for six months in a cool Victorian era cellar before bottling.
Road Trip is a an intense and tannic still cider featuring Tremlett's Bitter & Brown's apples, grown in the south Somerset parish of Haselbury Plucknett fermented partly in Burgundy and rum barrels. The label was drawn in 1916, as a fantasy journey, looking forward to a brave new world, after the first world war.
