Ratapoil Les Corvées
Grapes: Trousseau, Poulsard
Raphael Monnier’s Ratapoil wines are some of the most sought after in Jura and there's never enough to go around, in part because the treacherous growing conditions in Jura mean Raphael regularly loses much of his crop to frost and hail.
This is Raphael's top cuvee made from 90% Trousseau and 10% Poulsard grown in the limestone and grey marl of the famed Corvées vineyard in Arbois. It's wild and intense with a plethora of savoury aromas overlaid with concentrated dark fruit and a firm mineral backbone. This is tasting amazing now but will also reward a few years in the cellar.
