Originally from the Jura, Rémi Sedes moved to the Coteaux d’Ancenis in the far western Loire to live with his Nantes-born wife. After studying agronomy, he worked for several years with winemakers in the Loire and Bordeaux before setting up on his own in 2013. Part of winemaking for Rémi is a lifestyle choice; he wants to work outdoors, in the fresh air, and not with machines – his Shire horses are an important part of his winemaking process.

Samplemousse is Rémi's flagship rosé made from Gamay grapes grown in granite. A vivid, intense and structured rosé with stunning fruit and a deep savoury quality.
