Terres de l'Aumonier Touraine Rouge

Sophie and Thierry Chardon of L'Aumonier have been based in Touraine since 1996, working with the Sauvignon Blanc the area is famed for as well as Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Côt (Malbec), Gamay and Cabernet Franc. Farming has been organic since 2006 and biodynamic since 2021 with the soil a mixture of the argile and silex.
The Touraine Rouge is a juicy, crunchy Gamay made using semi-carbonic maceration. Bright ruby red with lifted aromas of cherries, fresh herbs and stoney minerality.
