In 2001, Thibault, cousin of Vicomte Liger Belair, took over an old family estate in Nuits-St-Georges and the historic vineyards attached to it: 7.25 hectares across eight AOCs, including several Grand Crus. All vines are farmed biodynamically with the help of horses to plough the soils.

Les Deux Terres is Gamay from the domaine's Beaujolais vines in Moulin-à-Vent. Medium-bodied with aromas of brambly red fruit, raspberry preserve and crushed strawberry with hint of pepper. On the palate it's smooth with round tannin, sweet cassis, tobacco and stewed berries notes.
