Casa Balaguer Tragolargo Monastrell
Casa Balaguer is a third generation estate in Alicante working organically and biodynamically. All grapes are hand-harvested, fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in a range of vessels including stainless steel, wood, concrete and clay.
The Tragolargo red is Monastrell (Mourvedre) made with no added sulphur from bush vines 700m above sea level. Blackberry and plum fruit mingles with wild herbs and an enticing earthiness.
